The job of the thyroid gland is to produce thyroid hormones which control how the body generates and uses energy. The thyroid hormones affect every cell and almost every organ in the body. I have been wanting to post this recipe for a long time. Many people love to use granolas for their breakfast and snacks. Almost all the granola products on the market contain either gluten or different types of sugar that can raise blood sugar level. After having searched for it for years, I finally gave up and decided to make my own sugar-free, gluten-free and organic granola (See th...

Are you inflamed and in pain?  Digestive inflammation and inflammation in other parts of the body can be really challenging to deal with. I have had many experiences in the process of analyzing my clients' blood test results where I caught major health condition(s) that have been either on-going but were never detected, or there were signs of body chemistry imbalances that could lead to major health conditions such as stroke, heart-attack, and diabetes, fatty liver, gallbladder stones, cancers, thyroid disease, digestive...

I have quite many clients who are detected with high level of triglycerides in the lipid panel. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 21.5% of all adults in US have above-normal triglyceride levels. January 11th of 2019 marked two years since my father passed away from dementia. It was a very traumatic experience for me and other family members to watch him suffering so deeply. It was the saddest experience I’ve had to watch his body slowly giving up in his last a few months and days. I’ve been feeling very guilty about not doing enough to help him being so far away from China. I...

I’ve been pondering what to write for my final blog post of 2018.  The usual topics - interesting health related subjects, healthy recipes, or announcements for new programs I have in the works - just didn’t seem that satisfying.  I realized this past October marked three years since I started my nutrition therapy practice back in 2015. Time has flown by, so I thought the end of the ye...

It's the most exciting time of the year again!! I am so familiar with a lot of people's major worry about this time is the negative health impact from eating the holiday foods especially deserts. We all know too well, sugar is the biggest concern here. Pumpkin pie is almost a must-have item for Thanksgiving dinner but how can we enjoy it but at the same time not suffer from the consequ...

Using nutritional support to enhance overall breast health is a wonderful thing to do. But we need to realize that there are so many outside influences that can undermine our efforts to prevent breast cancer. Sex hormonal imbalances are common issues for both of my female and male clients.  Instead of jumping right onto using supplements or any protocols to clear out their system, I am...

This is my new recipe creation. It's gluten-free and dairy free, packed with many nutrients such as omega 3 fatty acids from salmon, lots of protein from both salmon and quinoa and eggs with vegetables and anti-inflammatory spices. It's super delicious, easy to make and the best of all, you can pre-make a big batch and store it in the freezer or refrigerator....

Although change comes relatively easy for some, research has shown that making changes to our life style is extremely challenging for most of us. We all have individual experiences, personality characteristics and DNA that play a major role in our relative abilities to implement the type of lifestyle changes necessary to improve our health.

My experience from working with hundreds of in...
