Recipe: Roasted Salmon with Miso Cream & Honey Glaze

Updated: Aug 3, 2023

This is a delicious and easiest dish to prepare. It is one of my all-time favorite dishes. The prep time is only five minutes. The rich taste of salmon with miso and honey is out of this world. It's important to add some cilantro or parsley in the ingredients because cilantro and parsley are heavy metal binders that can bind the mercury content in the fish and make them excreted from your body. Enjoy it!

Roasted Salmon with Miso Cream & Honey Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of wild salmon: rinsed and dried by using paper towels

  • 1 tablespoon of avocado oil

  • 1 tablespoon of miso: You may choose organic soybean red miso, yellow miso, organic brown rice miso, or even chickpea miso. Low Sodium version is preferred.

  • 1/2 - 1 tablespoon of raw honey

  • 1/2 tablespoon of mustard seeds

  • pinches of black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon of finely chopped cilantro

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. I like to use my convection oven, which doesn't require the preheating process.

  2. Place salmon on a flat baking sheet.

  3. Mix the oil, miso, honey, mustard seeds, black pepper, and cilantro in the small bowl and mix them evenly. Spread the sauce on top of the salmon.

  4. Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
